Scope

The Journal of Primary Health Care (JPHC) is published by CSIRO Publishing on behalf of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP).

The JPHC is an international multi-disciplinary publication aimed at moving research into practice and practice into research in primary health care. Its scope includes the fields of family/general practice, rural hospital medicine, primary health care nursing, community pharmacy, physiotherapy and counselling, as well as areas such as health care delivery, health promotion, epidemiology and public health of interest to a primary health care provider audience. The JPHC aims to publish research that is conducted in, or highly relevant to, New Zealand, Australia and Pacific nations. There is a strong focus on Indigenous Māori and Pacific health issues.

We welcome article submissions on original scientific research, improving performance reports and viewpoints. The JPHC does not publish case reports nor research protocols.
