General Information

International Journal of Wildland Fire welcomes papers aimed at understanding the basic principles of fire as a process, understanding its ecological impact at the stand level and the landscape level, modelling fire and its effects, or presenting information on how to effectively and efficiently manage fire (see Scope). All papers are refereed rigourously by the journal´s Editorial Board and external reviewers.

For speed of passage through the peer-review process, all submissions will be handled in electronic format (see ´Submitting your manuscript for review´). After acceptance, the Publisher will request the files from which the final paper will be prepared.

All manuscripts submitted to IJWF will be published Open Access, to review Open Access opportunities at the Journal please see CSIRO PUBLISHING: Open Access.

When preparing a paper for publication, please follow journal style and layout as closely as possible. Guidelines are set out in the Author Instructions.

Our Editor has also prepared an overview (PDF) to assist in preparing your article, which will be of particular interest to authors with English as a second language and early career scientists.
