Abstract
This spring, the last volume of the 2nd edition of Bergey’s Manual of Systematic Bacteriology (BMSB) has been submitted to the publisher, with an expected publication date of late 2011 or early 2012. This multi-volume work describes the systematics, ecology, physiology and other biological properties of prokaryotes. Published by Bergey’s Manual Trust and Springer, it is the most complete and authoritative description of bacterial and archaeal diversity currently published.https://doi.org/10.1071/MA11062
