New partnering principles on the path to net zero

Abstract
With the transition to net zero gathering pace across the globe, there are many new projects being planned. There are specific challenges to the advancement of novel net-zero projects, which has given rise to various strategies. We considered the diverse strategies in play and identified five ‘new partnering principles’ for current and future investment owners: (1) Consider clever collaboration for complex concepts; (2) Contract for outcomes, not for facilities; (3) Bring the supply chain with you; (4) Invest in your team as well as your project; (5) Foster innovation across the ecosystem. These principles will assist owners, operators and the supply chain in progressing novel net-zero projects.
