A novel chemosensor has been designed and synthesized from a naturally occurring α-amino acid (l-tyrosine). Selective recognition of HgII has been achieved utilizing the chemosensing ability of the probe (SALTYR). The fluorescence intensity has been subsequently quenched showing a turn-off mechanism.
Adenine is a promiscuous base, H bonding not only to uracil and thymine, but in a radical shift from orthodoxy, also to the backbone of peptides or proteins in the cis conformation. It follows that cis peptide polar groups will resemble the geometry of uracil.
A composite film composed of poly(allylamine hydrochloride)–dextran microgels and graphene oxide can be employed repeatedly to remove cationic, anionic and non-ionic dyes in water.
This work mainly explored the feasibility of amphoteric surfactants to improve the dispersion stability of TiO2 nanofluids. A nanofluid flooding system based on amphoteric surfactants and TiO2 nanoparticles with stable dispersion and remarkable oil displacement performance was constructed.
