PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS IN 1998

Abstract

1998 was a year of challenges and opportunities. A number of new significant developments started production, oil prices thudded to low levels in real terms and production of oil and LPG continued to grow by around 6%. This paper reviews the events of 1998, highlights the growth in production capacity and notes the innovations that have been implemented in the Australian environment. Clearly, despite difficult conditions, the industry in 1998 provided energy for growth.
