Abstract
Beach Energy conducted the only integrated offshore program, during Covid-19, consisting of drilling six development wells and one successful exploration well along with installation of the subsea infrastructure to connect the first two development wells at the Geographe Field. All of this was delivered during the height of the pandemic from 2020 through to 2022, with installation activities continuing to complete the installation of the four subsea Thylacine wells in 2023. To deliver an integrated offshore program required a fully integrated and aligned one-team approach within our organisation, and joint venture (JV), to deal with and adapt to constant changes associated with the pandemic. Dealing with the attendant supply chain issues built on this flexible approach. The program delivered new gas in January 2022 into the Otway Gas Plant from two new wells in the Geographe Field only 9 months from the spud of the first of the two wells in the field.
