Expressions of interest
Sexual Health is seeking Associate Editors to join the editorial committee. The journal publishes original and significant contributions to the fields of sexual health including HIV/AIDS, sexually transmissible infections, issues of sexuality and relevant areas of reproductive health. This journal is directed towards those working in sexual health as clinicians, public health practitioners, researchers in behavioural, clinical, laboratory, public health or social, sciences. Sexual Health is published by CSIRO Publishing. Editors-in-Chief determine the publishing strategy of the journal, and lead a team of Associate Editors to manage the peer review process of papers received by the journal.
More specifically, Associate Editors:
- Select suitable reviewers, assess reviewer reports, discuss preliminary decisions or recommendations with the Editor in Chief, complete any further peer review and revisions, complete a final editorial decision or recommendation.
- With reference to the Editorial Board Conduct Policy, notify the Editor in Chief promptly of any potential ethical concerns with any manuscript.
- Promote the Journal and encourage high quality submissions
- Identify topics lead the development of Collections, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief
- Represent the Journal to the research community at conferences, visits to institutions, etc.
Associate Editors have editorial support from CSIRO Publishing, including access to a web-based editorial management system and a dedicated Editorial Assistant based within CSIRO Publishing.
