A taxonomic revision of Sarcolobus (Asclepidaceae: Marsdenieae) in Fiji

Abstract

The genus Sarcolobus R. Br. (Asclepiadaceae: Marsdenieae) is newly recorded for Fiji. Three species are present, namely Sarcolobus stenophyllus comb. nov. (Gymnema stenophylla A. Gray), S. venulosus comb. nov. (Tylophora venulosa A. C. Smith) and S. subnudus comb. nov. (Gymnema subnudum A. Gray). All species are fully described and a key to distinguish them is given.
