Abstract

The penetration of plasma sheaths for spherical probes in a slightly ionized continuum plasma has been computed for values of 8 (the ratio of ion to electron temperature) of 0·01 and 1·0 with pp (the ratio of probe radius to plasma Debye length) set at 5, 10, 20 and 30. Values of the potential drops at the sheath boundaries are presented.
