Abstract

The natural frequencies and wave patterns have been calculated for several model sea basins representative of the South Australian gulfs. Backstairs Passage has been emphasized to varying degrees, enabling its significance to the hydraulics to be determined. The effect of the Earth's rotation has been evaluated by carrying out the calculations with and without Coriolis' parameter.
