The ASM would like to congratulate Professor Si Ming Man (Australian National University) for receiving the Frank Fenner Prize for Life Scientist of the Year. He has been recognised for advancing our understanding of the fundamental process of inflammation and his progress towards discovering new therapies for inflammatory diseases and cancer. Professor Man is one of the most highly cited experts in his field and has been recognised by 21 national and international research awards. With a passion for training the next generation of scientists, Professor Man leads an internationally recognised research team at the John Curtin School of Medical Research (ANU). A video explains his achievements: https://www.industry.gov.au/publications/prime-ministers-prizes-science-2022/2022-frank-fenner-prize-life-scientist-year.
