Australia’s insect fauna is both unique and mostly unknown, which has been demonstrated by recent continental scale surveys. The aim of this work is to describe and analyse a natural group of plant bugs that has radiated in arid and semi-arid Australia. This work describes a new genus and 18 new species and their association with perennial shrubs is analysed, including their explosion in south-western Western Australia, which reinforces this region as a global biodiversity hotspot.
