Abstract

Watkinsia, gen. nov. (Tribe Diphucephalini), is erected, with W. bella, sp. nov., as type species. W. bella, sp. nov., W. megalops, sp. nov., W. monteithi, sp. nov., W. sedlaceki, sp. nov., W. tenebrosa, sp. nov., W. vicina, sp. nov., and W. williamsi, sp. nov., are described. Diphucephala macrops Lea is transferred to Watkinsia. Cunderdinia orientalis, sp. nov., is described. Keys to the genera of Diphucephalini and to the species of Watkinsia and Cunderdinia are provided. Adults of Watkinsia fly in daylight in high-altitude rainforest in northern New South Wales and Queensland.
