Abstract
The ampithoid genus Sunamphitoe is recorded for the first time from Australia, and a new species, S. graxon, is described. It is reported from Cape Banks, New South Wales, living on intertidal rocky shores among Sargassum sp. Sunamphitoe graxon is the most abundant amphipod species in the Sargassum. The females build nests by gluing together Sargassum thalli.https://doi.org/10.1071/IT9940675
