Abstract
The genus Australonura Cassagnau 1980 is defined; four species already known from Australia, A. grossi the type species, A. cirrata, A. meridionalis and A. wellingtonia, are redescribed with the aid of new material. Eight new species are described, A. ahimsa, A. beata, A. grandes, A. norfolkensis, A. quarta, A. sanguisugarum, A. scoparia, and A. redita; provisional phylogenetic relationships are discussed for the Australian members of the genus.https://doi.org/10.1071/IT9890565
