Kowmungia (Diptera : Dolichopodidae), a new genus from Australia

Abstract

Kowmungia, gen. nov. is described from Australia, with four included new species: K. nigrifemorata, K. angustifrons, and K. crassitarsus from New South Wales; K. flaviseta from Queensland. The genus does not fit readily into any of the previously described dolichopodid subfamilies and is regarded as incertae sedis.
