Chris Dyt is an applied mathematician working with the Forward Stratigraphic Modelling (SFM) program Sedsim. His principle interests are in hydrodynamics and numerical programming. Chris has been involved in the Sedsim program since 1996 and has been involved in its conversion from a research code to a commercial software application. Other current research interests include fault seal analysis, pipeline flow assurance and reservoir modelling. He obtained his doctorate and undergraduate degrees at Monash University, where he was working on numerically modelling the convective motions of the evolving solar atmosphere. Member: PESA, SIAM, IAMG.

Cedric Griffiths received an honours degree in Geology from Durham University in1972, and a PhD from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1983. Cedric has worked with deBeers, Exlog, Zambian Geological Survey, Sintef Petroleum, BP, Stratigraphic Research International (co-founder) and CSIRO. He has held positions as Nordic Council Research Professor in petrophysics at NTH and the South Australian State Chair in Petroleum Geology. He was Acting Director of the NCPGG from 1996 to 1998. He has held council positions in the International Committee on Quantitative Stratigraphy, and the International Association of Mathematical Geologists. He co-edited Geological Application of Wireline Logs II and is a co-author of Sequence Stratigraphy. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Fangjun Li is a senior research scientist at CSIRO Petroleum Resource. She obtained her BEng and MEng degrees in coastal engineering in 1988 from Dalian University of Technology, China. Then she worked for nine years as a research assistant and research fellow at State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, China. In 2001, she was awarded her PhD (Civil Engineering) at the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems, The University of Western Australia. Since then she joined CSIRO Petroleum and worked mainly on the code development for Sedsim and Australian seabed model. She has published studies on modelling of local scour around offshore pipelines, 3D flexural isostasy, and coastal morpho-dynamic models.

Luke Johnson graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in applied geology from Curtin University in 2002. From 2002 to 2005, he worked as a research geologist with the CSIRO Fault Seal Group, with a focus on palaeo fluid migration. In 2005 Luke joined Chevron Australia where he worked as a geologist on the Io-Jansz field before moving to the regional exploration team.

Evelina Paraschivoiu works for Chevron Australia as a development geologist within the deepwater gas assets team. Her previous involvement with Sedsim depositional modelling in the last 10 years was through her employment as a research scientist at CSIRO as well as her PhD candidature at NCPGG (University of Adelaide). During this time she has modelled both ancient reservoirs and modern sedimentary systems. Evelina obtained her Geology BSc (Hons) degree in 1991 from Bucharest University, Romania, followed by six years working with Petrom R.A. She also worked for three years as a geologist for PIRSA in Adelaide. Member: PESA, AAPG, SPE and FESAus.
