Steve Tyson started working in reservoir characterisation at BP in London 22 years ago developing algorithms for the determination of effective properties and the stochastic modelling of fluvial channels. He has been active in the development of reservoir modelling software since then. He is a physics graduate from Imperial College, and is now completing a PhD in reservoir characterisation at the School of Petroleum Engineering, UNSW. Steve is the technical director at Paradigm Geophysical in Kuala Lumpur specialising in reservoir modelling.
