Federal Opposition Address

The Honourable Gary Gray AO MP is no stranger to the oil and gas industry. Gary grew up in Whyalla, and his first job was in the local BHP steelworks.

After long service to the Labor Party in the Northern Territory, and as the National Secretary of the Party from 1993–2000, Gary became the Director of Corporate Affairs at Woodside.

Gary was elected as the Federal Member for Brand in 2007, held a variety of portfolios in the former Labor Government, and in its last year joined Cabinet as the Minister for Resources and Energy.

Gary is currently the Shadow Minister for Resources.
