Liz is one of the leading authorities on energy markets. She is the Chief Executive Officer of the Consilience Energy Advisory Group Limited (CEAG), a London-based consultancy specialising in carbon emissions, oil, gas, power, coal, freight and weather trading and logistics issues. Clients include FTSE 100 companies, major and junior oil companies, utilities, regulated exchanges, government authorities and law firms. Liz is a Founding Director of the Carbon Markets Association, the emissions service sector trade association promoted by the UK Trade and Investment Department and Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Liz is a member of HM Treasury’s Carbon Markets Expert Group which was formed to discuss ways of enhancing and developing the global carbon market and to act as an industry liaison for the Treasury. In her previous role as Head of Marketing for Enterprise Oil plc, Liz was responsible for Trading, Operations, Shipping and Risk Management. She devised and implemented an operational and strategic hedging programme using all the futures, forward and OTC contractual mechanisms. Prior to Enterprise Oil, Liz was a crude oil trader for the British National Oil Corporation (BNOC), which traded more than half of the aggregate oil production on the UK continental shelf.
