Pierre Lanfranchi received an Engineering degree from Strasbourg Institute of Earth Physics in 1983. He spent one year in Paris as a seismologist at the French Atomic Energy. He then joined CGG in 1985. After nine years spent in Paris as Research Geophysicist he was posted in CGG Oslo (Norway) as Technical Advisor from 1994 to 1999. His next assignment was London where he led the R&D Department, with a special focus on Seismic Reservoir Characterisation, including Time Lapse, Multi-Component and Inversion technology. Based in Paris from September 2004, he has been R&D Manager in charge of Market Strategy and Technology Transfer until September 2007. Since September 2007, he is Vice–President Business Development for Asia-Pacific. Pierre Lanfranchi has been awarded many best paper awards. From June 2005, he is member of the EAGE Board as Technical Program Officer. Member: EAGE, SEG, and AFTP. |
