Safer and more effective gas lift with new barrier technology

Svein Olav Simonsen (BA, Hons) is director of finance and business development with the Petroleum Technology Company AS. He joined PTC in 2006 and before that he worked on contracts and negotiations with Total Norway. Before joining Total he had been in the oil industry for 10 years, working with business development for Halliburton dealing with cementing, drilling and completion fluids, production enhancement, well stimulation services and integrated turn-key drilling and completion contracts and deliveries. PTC was founded in 2002 and specialises in provision and development of technology for producing oil and gas wells, in particular related to well completion, artificial lift and wellhead barrier technology. Its main office is in Stavanger Norway and it has offices in Aberdeen and Houston
