Environmental Chemistry's Best Paper Award

We are excited to introduce the Environmental Chemistry's Best Paper Award to recognise outstanding research published in Environmental Chemistry each year. This award celebrates the most impactful and innovative paper that significantly advances the field of environmental chemistry, as determined by the journal's editorial board.

Award Criteria

The Best Paper Award will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific Impact and Rigor: The paper must make a significant contribution to the field of environmental chemistry, demonstrating originality, rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Multidisciplinary Approach: Preference will be given to papers that provide multidisciplinary insights, aligning with the journal's mission to bridge different aspects of environmental science.
  • Clarity and Accessibility: Presentation, including clarity of language and use of figures and tables, will be used as criteria.

Selection Process

1. Eligibility: All original research articles and reviews published in Environmental Chemistry within the calendar year are eligible for the award.

2. Nominations: The editorial board will review all eligible papers and nominate a shortlist of outstanding contributions.

3. Evaluation: The shortlisted papers will be evaluated by the editorial board, considering their scientific impact, multidisciplinary relevance, and overall quality.

4. Decision: The Best Paper will be decided by a majority vote of the editorial board members. The Editor in Chief will have the casting vote in the event of a tie. The decision will be based on a thorough assessment of the shortlisted papers against the award criteria.

5. Announcement: The winner will be announced on the journal's website and through our social media channels in the first quarter of the following year.
