Call for Special Issue Editor

Call for expressions of interest in the position of Special Issue Editor Environmental Chemistry

Environmental Chemistry (https://www.publish.csiro.au/en) is a highly regarded international journal in the environmental sciences that has been publishing research papers and reviews since 2004. It is wholly owned, and published, by CSIRO Publishing in Melbourne. The journal provides publication opportunities for authors researching advanced topics in the chemistry of the environment (air, water, earth, and biota), including the behaviour and impacts of contaminants and other anthropogenic disturbances. The journal has become prominent in its field and enjoys steady submissions from around the world and is currently led by the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Jamie Lead (University of South Carolina, USA).

CSIRO Publishing is seeking a scientist of international standing for this position, with a good track record of publishing in high-quality international journals, a good awareness of upcoming hot topics, and an active network of colleagues and collaborators. The post may be held by a scientist resident anywhere in the world with a background in environmental chemistry.

The position of Special Issue Editor of Environmental Chemistry is an opportunity become involved in shaping the contents of an established journal and to make a significant contribution to the publication of quality environmental chemistry research for a worldwide readership.

This honorary position is available for a term of up to two years. The successful applicant will have access to a web-based submission and peer-review system and help from a dedicated Editorial Assistant. The duties outlined in this role are expected to take approximately 1–2 hours per week and includes an honorarium.
