Abstract

A model is used to examine methods of integrating two or more pasture types which have complementary growth rhythms. The model suggests the use of results from experimental stocking-rate sequences on each pasture to estimate the area to be allotted to each pasture type, the necessary animal movements, and the resulting animal productivity on a series of theoretical farms.
