Abstract
The title compound (diphy) has been prepared from 2,2'-pyridil and 2-pyridylhydrazine and behaves as a quadridentate chelating agent with nicke1(11), copper(11), zinc(11) and cadmium(11) salts. The mono-(2-pyridylhydrazone) of 2,2'-pyridil (pmpy) is also described, together with its nickel(11) complex perchlorate.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9761153
