The oxidation of alkyl isothiocyanates by peroxomonosulphuric acid

Abstract

Oxidation of methyl and ethyl isothiocyanates by peroxomonosulphuric acid in aqueous solution at 25ºC has rate constants equal to 1.05 and 0.75 dm³ mol^-1 s^-1 respectively. The oxidation product was not identified.
