On page 13 of the published paper, the authors wish to insert ‘although this was unlikely to have been based on first-hand knowledge’ directly preceding ‘(I Menkins, pers. comm., September 2021)’.
Thus, the revised sentence reads:
‘Ian Menkins, who has documented Aboriginal words and natural history in the Murray Darling Basin (Menkins 2012), has also been told by an Indigenous Elder of trees being planted in other trees, although this was unlikely to have been based on first-hand knowledge (I Menkins, pers. comm., September 2021)’.
