The life history of Punctaria latifolia Greville (Phaeophyta) in Southern Australia

Abstract
A "direct" life history is described for P. latifolia from Victoria (southern Australia). Unispores are formed without meiosis and grow into a generation of plants identical with the parent. Their development resembles that of the plurispores.
