Cobalt supplements for cattle - the use of heavy pellets in fattening steers.

Abstract

Retention tests of cobalt heavy pellets for cattle are reported. Pellets of 30 grams, with a specific gravity of 4.5, were retained for six months and appear adequate for fattening steers. Weight gains in supplemented cattle were above normal expectations.
