Abstract

Electrophoretic evidence for the specific status, and relationship to other Pseudomys, of P. pilligaensis is presented. Two enzyme systems out of twenty-seven are diagnostic of the species. Estimates of genetic difference between species indicate that P. pilligaensis forms a triad with P. delicatulus and P. novaehollandiae, more distantly related to P. hermannsburgensis and P. australis.
