Rediscovery of Euphorbia carissoides (Euphorbiaceae)

Abstract

This paper documents the rediscovery of Euphorbia carissoides F.M. Bailey from four localities in north-east Queensland. E. carissoides was previously known from two collections made in 1905 and 1908 and listed as Presumed Extinct in Rare or Threatened Plant listings. The species is described in detail, illustrated, its distribution and habitat described and conservation status revised to 3V.
