Observations on length-weight relationships and distribution of the red spot king prawn, Penaeus longistylus Kubo, in Western Australian waters

Abstract

The morphological characteristics relating to length and weight for the previously rare P. longistylus are described. The distribution of the species along the Western Australian coastline and its preference for coral and other benthic habitat types is discussed.
