Abstract
Chemical changes in the Derwent River, Tasmania, during 1972-73 are described. Logarithmic equations for describing the relations between flow rate and ion concentrations are found to be inadequate as predictive models. Estimates of major ion discharges for one year are presented, and the relative contributions of thg catchment and the atmosphere to dissolved material are calculated.
