Abstract
Since the first bacterial genome was sequenced in 1995, over 100 others have been completed. They include many pathogens, as well as other bacteria chosen for their special interest, whether academic or applied. The resulting knowledge is revolutionising our understanding of the bacterial world.https://doi.org/10.1071/MA04204
