Myrmecolacidae (Strepsiptera) from Australia

Abstract

Five new myrmecolacid species (Lychnocolax drysdalensis, L. maxillaris, Myrmecolax blfurcatus, Stichotremba kuranda and S. webbiense) are described from Australia. Five further species previously described from Malaysia, New Guinea and the Philippines are also recorded from Australia. Keys to the genera of Myrmecolacidae and to the Australian species are provided.
