Revision of the genus Parlalepidonotus Horst, 1915 (Polychaeta : Polynoidae)

Abstract

The polynoid scaleworm genus Paraleprdonotus is revised. One synonymy is proposed: P. boholensis (Grube 1878) is referred to P. indrcus (Kinberg 1856). Paraiepidonotus boholensis curacaoensis Horst, 1922 is removed from the genus and referred to Harmothoe. Two new species are described: P. erythromaris from the Red Sea and P. heteropodus from Australia. A key to the four species is given. The genus is referred to the subfamily Harmothoinae.
