Abstract
This extended abstract complements APPEA’s Improving Labour Productivity Report, while serving as a bridge for the submission that APPEA made to the Productivity Commission as a part of its intended review into workplace regulations. This extended abstract highlights some of the challenges faced in the oil and gas construction and operations sector, examining some of the underlying regulatory drivers. The international context will be drawn upon, together with an examination of possible solutions.
