Abstract
This extended abstract examines the impact of domestic reservation policies, price review mechanisms and environmental developments on the Australian gas market. The impact of LNG export pricing and the LNG oil-link pricing formula is considered in the context of the impact on domestic Australian pricing. Consideration is given to the role and impact that domestic reservation policies may have on the market going forwards, together with environmental issues arising out of CSG developments. This extended abstract draws conclusions about the future of domestic pricing mechanisms.
Chris has a specialised practice which focuses on price reviews under long-term supply contracts, particularly those in the gas sector. He has extensive knowledge of the structure of the Eastern Australia and Western Australia gas industries, which allows him to provide the latest thinking in relation to price reviews and pricing strategies. Chris provides advice on the interpretation of price review clauses, the dispute resolution mechanisms, the strategies in relation to the price review process, the commencement of the price review process and arbitration of the varied prices. |
