Enda O’Sullivan is Operations Director with MCS Perth, and a Chartered Engineer with more than 16 years experience in offshore engineering. Enda has come through the system at MCS; recruited as a graduate to work in the software department, moving on to project work in Aberdeen and rising to the role of General Manager, relocating to Houston as VP for Business Development and onwards to Perth to manage the office. His technical expertise primarily covers design and integrity management of risers and he actively consults on projects, mostly for SE Asian floating and subsea projects. Enda is also active in industry presenting at and chairing sessions for offshore related conferences. He has recently presented papers at Offshore Asia (OA), Deep Offshore Technology (DOT), Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and OMAE. Adrian Connaire, BE, M Eng Sc, CEng, Senior Consultant, MCS. He has worked with MCS since 1993. In his 13 years with MCS he has gained considerable experience in all aspects of riser and mooring system design and analysis. His experience covers flexible pipe systems, top tensioned risers (TTRs), steel catenary risers (SCRs), drilling risers, umbilicals, mooring systems and coupled analysis of riser/mooring systems. Specific projects in which Adrian had a lead role include Woodside’s Enfield Flexible Riser System Design (NWS Australia), BP’s Horn Mountain TTR System Design (Gulf of Mexico) and Total’s Akpo SCR and Offloading System Design (west Africa). As well as having been lead engineer, project manager and consultant on many detailed and feasibility design projects; he has been involved at a senior level in many of MCS’ JIPs which have lead to the development of API standards and recommended practices.
