Abstract
Magnetic, self potential and electromagnetic methods have been found most useful in mineral exploration while resistivity and seismic methods are most effective in groundwater and engineering investigations. Gravity methods could be used more frequently in mineral exploration in order to minimise drilling. The effectiveness and reliability of any method has been directly related to the level of appreciation of local problems, sampling and choice of line spacing and observation interval.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG973259
