Abstract
The toxicity of the stubbles of a number of lupin crops was monitored throughout summer and autumn in 2 years. It was shown that lupin stubbles can be toxic at the time of harvest, that they can remain significantly toxic for at least 17 weeks, and that toxicity can develop in the absence of summer rain. On the basis of these findings a new recommendation is made on the management of sheep grazing lupin stubbles. This recommendation requires regular and close examination of the sheep.https://doi.org/10.1071/EA9800166
