Abstract
Ethylene dibromide at 72 kg a.i, ha-1, fenamiphos at 10 kg a.i. ha-1 overall or at 5 kg a.i, ha-1 in a band, reduced the incidence of nematode-galled tubers, resulting in increased yields of saleable tubers of up to 225% in a December planted crop and 33% in a January planted crop. Spraying fenamiphos on the soil before planting was more effective than a granule treatment or a post-plant spray. In a crop planted in March, tuber galling was negligible.https://doi.org/10.1071/EA9790624
