Abstract
In seven experiments on calcareous grey clays the yield response of Olympic to superphosphate was compared to that of a number of other conventional and semi-dwarf wheat cultivars. The response to superphosphate rates, containing up to 48 kg P ha-1, was greatest with a number of semi-dwarf cultivars but a range of responses was recorded within both groups of cultivars. In comparison with Mexico 120, Olympic, in most experiments, achieved maximum yields at lower levels of applied superphosphate.
