A new approach to the use of 2,4-D esters for the control of nut grass and other persistent weeds

Abstract

In pots under glasshouse conditions with day temperature averaging 90¦F, complete control of nut grass was obtained with the methyl ester of 2,4-D applied within the soil at 20 lb an acre. No deleterious residual effects were observed 20 weeks later.
