Abstract

Results are presented on the fleece weights of AT-type and ordinary Romney lambs and 18-month-old ewes. The A'-type animals had a higher greasy fleece weight when differences in body weight were corrected for. The remainder of the paper is concerned with discussion of the results of the previous three papers in terms of pleiotropy of the gene A' and of their implications in the interpretation of fleece development.
