Electrolytes in Micropores

Abstract

We review recent progress in the theory of electrolytes inside cylindrical micropores. Specific predictions for the spatial distribution of counter ions and co-ions are presented, and connections with existing experimental data are discussed. Potential applications to desalination methods are outlined.
