Abstract
A reinvestigation of the Prevost reaction of N-allylmorpholine (1) with silver(I) benzoate and iodine shows that it gives the 1,3-dibenzoate (2) (11%) through rearrangement, the 1,2-dibenzoate (3) (5%) and (1) (13%).
