Abstract
Crystals of the toluene solvate of tris(l,3-diphenyltriazenato)cobalt(111) [abbreviated as Co(dpt)3], monoclinic with space group C2/c with a = 20.73(1), b = 16.30(3), c = 13.34(1) Å, β = 120.4(1)º containing four molecules per unit cell, are composed of discrete molecules of Co(dpt)3 and toluene, each separated from its neighbours by normal van der Waals distances. The six terminal nitrogen atoms of the three dpt groups bond to the cobalt atom, forming the three four-membered chelate rings.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9740665
